Healthy Aging

Between 2012 and 2050, the United States will experience considerable growth in its older population. By 2050, the population aged 65 and over is projected to be 83.7 million, almost double its size in 2012. This growth is attributed to the post-WWII Baby Boom (Baby Boomers began turning 65 in 2012) and increased longevity (people are simply living longer than ever before).

The Center for Caring hopes to offer advice, tools, and helpful resources for older adults and their loved ones who seek to preserve their quality of life, retain independence, and make the most of those golden years ahead. Here you can learn about the importance of maintaining a vibrant, socially active lifestyle, staying engaged in your community, and planning for the future to age in place successfully.
